He still quite hasn’t gotten out of his mid 00’s emo phase, and knows more about The Legend of Zelda and Doctor Who than is probably healthy. Ewan oversees the content operation of ScreenRant's gaming output, working with a talented team of writers and editors to cover everything from the latest GTA 6 news to the indie games you need on your radar. Former Editor of GAMINGbible, Ewan also has words at Kotaku, Den of Geek, NME, and UNILAD. He's appeared on various podcasts, including VGC's and BBC's Let's Talk About Tech. PlayStation has officially unleashed pre-orders for an unexpected new line of hardware, meaning if you have the cash to spare, you can get yourself a brand-new shiny bit of official kit from Sony. It's been a particularly turbulent year for PlayStation and the video game industry as a whole. Between the middling reviews for Marvel's Wolverine and the deeply controversial decision to completely do away with physical discs moving forward, PlayStation isn't exactly the most popular kid in school right now. Will this new hardware be enough to get PlayStation back into folks' good graces? Probably not, but let's take a look anyway. In a collab I don't think any of us saw coming, PlayStation is releasing a brand-new DualSense controller based on the pop star and BlackPink member "LISA." She's certainly not afraid to dabble in multiple formats, having conquered multiple arenas, music, acting, and more. Now, she can cross off "have my own PlayStation controller" from the list. This new LISA-themed DualSense focuses on the singer's eyes as a key part of the design, and will officially release October 30. However, pre-orders are officially now open, so if you have $84.99 spare, you can head to PlayStation Direct to pick one up for yourself. Here's what LISA has to say about the collaboration: "Gaming is something I do whenever I have time to relax, so getting to create this collection with PlayStation was very exciting. I had a lot of fun adding in little details that I knew my fans would notice, and I wanted the fans to have something they can connect with. I’ve always loved expressing myself through music and fashion, so this collaboration gave me a new way to be creative and show a different side of myself. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do." If the controller just isn't enough for you hardcore LISA lovers, there's a second part to the collab which will include merchandise, which will include shirts, sweatshirts, hats, keychains, bags, and more based on the DualSense design. That will be going live via the official Amazon Lisa store on October 23. In other PlayStation news, the latest PlayStation Plus games for October 2026 were announced earlier this week, and they represent what can only be described as a mixed bag, if we're being polite. From October 6, PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will be able to play F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. I'm not particularly confident I'd play any of these over Halloween when there are games like Resident Evil Requiem and Silent Hill Townfall to check out, but if you have a PlayStation and a PlayStation Plus subscription, you might as well get your money's worth.
