The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog is currently giving out new themed PlayStation avatars that you can claim for free, and you don’t even need an active Plus subscription to get them. The freebies were announced as part of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Day 2026 celebrations, which also include a charity stream, a new PlayStation Welcome Hub background, a Ghost of Yōtei collaboration, and new Steam avatars. So, if the idea of giving your PSN profile a little Last of Us makeover fascinates you, here’s what you need to know. How To Claim The Free Last Of Us PlayStation Avatars The four PlayStation avatars are probably the easiest part of the whole celebration to grab, though, since all you need to do is redeem a code for your region. The new avatars are inspired by The Last of Us universe and include symbols for the Seraphites and Rattlers, along with Ellie’s much-loved space pin, and a Washington Liberation Front (W.L.F.) patch. The process is pretty straightforward: Head over to the PlayStation Store and use the redemption code assigned to your region. Once redeemed, the four avatars will be added to your account. Players in the US and Americas region can use the code QDFN-GT5D-AMG7 on the official redemption page. The studio is also hosting a No Return charity stream in support of AbleGamers, with Ross Minor joining the stream to play The Last of Us Part II Remastered’s No Return mode while highlighting its accessibility features. There’s also a Ghost of Yōtei crossover coming on October 1, with a Clicker-inspired armor set being added to the game’s Most Wanted mode.
