Piastri falters to 13th in Mexico qualifying
AI Summary
Oscar Piastri's qualifying performance in the Mexico City Grand Prix was underwhelming, placing him 13th for the race. The disappointing result stems from McLaren's risky tyre strategy that didn't yield the expected benefits. This setback could impact Piastri's championship aspirations as he now has to overcome a 12-spot deficit from the front runners. Despite the setback, Piastri's team will likely strategize to capitalize on the race dynamics to close the gap.
