Sign in to your TheGamer account Physint star Bill Skarsgård has shared some more information about the game and suggested that it’ll have around eight hours of cutscenes like Hideo Kojima's other work. Even before everything that’s happened with Physint over the past few months, it seemed like Hideo Kojima’s spiritual successor to Metal Gear Solid was a very long ways off. That feeling has only been cemented with the sudden turn over from PlayStation to Xbox, with Kojima even recently confirming that he hadn’t settled on a game engine. As likely as it is that Physint won’t be with us until the next console generation at the very earliest, there have been some signs that it’s moving along somewhat steadily. The lead actors for the game were recently confirmed after much speculation, and one of them, Bill Skarsgård, has seemingly given us an idea of how many cutscenes to expect. Physint Will Apparently Have Eight Hours Of “Narrative” That’s In Line With Kojima’s Other Games As pointed out by Twitter user PowerUpGamingUK, Bill Skarsgård recently appeared on an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz. While Skarsgård was mostly there to talk about The Mosquito Bowl, he did take the chance to talk about his work with Hideo Kojima on Physint, noting that he played all of the Metal Gear Solid games back in the day. Skarsgård goes on to say that he asked Kojima directly about whether he’d want to direct a film, and concluded that he’s more interested in creating a new medium. Skarsgård argues that push is already in motion, pointing to Physint and the fact that it will apparently have “eight hours worth of narrative” alongside all the gameplay. By eight hours of narrative, Skarsgård surely means cutscenes. Don’t go panicking that Physint is less than ten hours long. Considering how most of Kojima’s games come in at around eight hours of narrative, there’s a chance that Skarsgård is just guessing based on that track record. If not, though, then it suggests Physint is far enough along for Kojima to have an idea of how many cutscenes are going to be in it, which is a little under what both Death Stranding games had.
