Phone network is giving millions of customers FREE data in 120 holiday destinations

MILLIONS of mobile customers can now use their data, calls and texts for free while jetting off to 120 different destinations this summer. Sky Mobile has more than doubled its global roaming coverage from 55 to 120 destinations, including Europe, the USA, Australia, Thailand and India. The huge expansion means holidaymakers can now roam for free in far more places, from the beaches of Barbados to the mountains of Peru. Other new additions to the list include Egypt, Singapore, Jamaica, the Bahamas, Morocco, Mauritius and China. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! The free roaming perk applies to Sky VIP Diamond customers, which is anyone who has been with Sky for more than 15 years across TV, Mobile, Talk, Smart Home or Broadband. These customers can use their UK data, calls and texts abroad exactly as they would at home, without paying a penny extra. For everyone else, Sky’s Roaming Passport Plus lets customers use their UK allowances abroad for just £2 a day. That works out at £10 for five days of roaming in destinations such as the USA, Thailand and India, which Sky says is £20 cheaper than EE‘s Zone 1 Pass and up to £30 less than Vodafone‘s equivalent plans. There is nothing to download or set up, with roaming kicking in automatically as soon as customers land and start using their phone. The £2 daily charge activates once a customer uses more than 10MB of data or makes a call or text to a UK number while abroad. Most read in Money Customers will get a text confirming when their 24-hour roaming period begins, and another when it is about to end.
