Philippe Coutinho to roll back years and reunite with Neymar in shock transfer after ripping up contract at boyhood club

While he is yet to be officially announced as a new player for the club, head coach Cuca has confirmed that Coutinho will be joining. He said: “He has already taken part in the video meeting I hold with the squad, where we review plays from the last match and training sessions. “He’s in great shape, cheerful, and highly motivated. We’ll be able to benefit from his presence, and help him as well. “He’s a great player and a valuable asset to the sport.” Neymar also shared a video of his former international team-mate on social media, welcoming him to the club. He said: “Brother, we are so happy you’re here. Our squad and our fans will embrace you so you can be happy. He also personally spoke to his compatriot to persuade him to join. Coutinho had been linked with a move to Mexican side Pumas in April, but ultimately decided against it. The ex-Brazil international has played for some of the world’s biggest clubs throughout his career, including Inter Milan, Liverpool, Barcelona and Bayern Munich. Comment now
