While the initial outrage over the decision has subsided somewhat since its announcement — official tweets aren't getting ratioed as much, at least — a core section of PlayStation players are still holding a grudge. That grudge has manifested in several ways over the past few weeks, such as an increase in forced hatred towards Marvel's Wolverine, and bombarding the comments section of Sony-published movie trailers like the latest Resident Evil. Despite all of this, PlayStation thought it would be a good idea to keep pretending like everything is okay for its recent Phantom Blade Zero showcase. It was wrong. Phantom Blade Zero Livestream Bombarded By Fans Demanding Discs Instead of probably doing the best thing for Phantom Blade Zero developer S-Game, PlayStation left the live chat for the recent gameplay livestream completely open, allowing every message you could think of to flow freely. As captured by a Twitter user called TheGamersjoint (thanks GamesRadar), quite a lot of them ended up being about physical discs. You can see comments along the lines of "No disc no pay" and "No disc no yen" are flooding the chat, along with disc emojis and people declaring that they're going to pirate PlayStation titles if they can't own them physically. It's a bit of a mess, probably made worse by the fact that Phantom Blade Zero seemingly won't be getting a physical release either. A lot of the initial anger may have subsided, but judging from the comments on social media and this event, people aren't going to forget any time soon. There will probably still be anger bubbling up until discs stop being produced in 2028, but I doubt it will be enough to actually force PlayStation to make a U-turn on its decision until it starts hitting them financially.
