Perth music teacher charged with producing child exploitation material

A music teacher employed at several private schools in Perth has been charged with producing child exploitation material and indecently recording a child.Police said detectives from the Child Abuse Squad charged the 34-year-old man from Hillarys after an investigation into allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards children.The man also conducts private music tutoring outside of his work at metropolitan schools.Detectives have charged the man with three counts of producing child exploitation material and two counts of indecently recording a child over the age of 13 and under 16.The music teacher and tutor is due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court. (ABC News: David Weber)Police allege child exploitation material was found on several electronic devices seized from the man's home during the execution of a search warrant.He is due to appear in Joondalup Magistrates Court today.Police have asked anyone with information relevant to the investigation to contact Crime Stoppers or make a report via the Safe2Say online reporting platform.
