Person 'stabbed to death at council headquarters' in north London

A person has died after a stabbing in broad daylight at a council headquarters in north London, according to reports.Officers cordoned off the Brent Civic Centre, near Wembley Stadium after the incident.Metropolitan Police and ambulance crews rushed to the building, home to Brent Council, at around 2.25pm.Staff in the building were also reportedly evacuated, according to the Sun.London’s Air Ambulance was dispatched to the scene as part of the emergency response.An LAS spokesperson said: “We were called at 2:25pm to reports of a stabbing at Brent Civic Centre, Wembley, HA9.“We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer.“We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.“Sadly, despite the best efforts of our crews, a patient was pronounced dead at the scene”.The Metropolitan Police and Brent Council have been contacted for more information.The exact location of the stabbing is yet to be confirmed by police or the council.This is a breaking news story.
