Person found dead, police cordon off property in Palmerston North

Police have cordoned off a property in Palmerston North's Highbury on Monday.Officers were trying to find a couple of people when a person was found dead on Wilson Crescent, police at the scene said.Investigations were now underway, including from the coroner.A tow truck has taken away a white car, while a hearse arrived at the scene about 2pm.Earlier, police said there was not believed to be a risk to the public but were telling people to avoid the area.
