Peoria firefighters pack backpacks for local students

The Peoria firefighters have once again demonstrated their commitment to the community through their annual "Fill The Fire Truck" event, packing over 1,000 backpacks with essential school supplies for local students. This initiative, led by the Peoria Afro American Firefighters Association and Peoria Firefighters Local 50, aims to support young learners as they head back to school. The event, set for July 23 at Trewyn Park, not only provides much-needed resources but also reinforces the firefighters' dedication to community welfare and education.
