PDEA nabs 5 in Zamboanga City drug den

(Photo by PDEA Zamboanga Peninsula) PAGADIAN CITY — The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Zamboanga Peninsula (PDEA Zamboanga Peninsula) dismantled a drug den and arrested five individuals during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Mampang on Wednesday, July 22. The operation, staged at 6:50 p.m. in Purok 2, was conducted with other law enforcement units led by the PDEA Regional Special Enforcement Team 1. Article continues after this advertisement Authorities identified the suspects as alias Kate, 27; alias Paul, 29; alias “Dogdog,” 27; alias Jaymar, 27; and alias “Abdul Asis,” 39—all residents of Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City. The suspects will face charges for violations of Sections 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), 6 (Maintenance of a Drug Den), 7 (Employees and Visitors of a Drug Den), 13 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs During Parties, Social Gatherings or Meetings), and 14 (Possession of Equipment, Instrument, Apparatus and Other Paraphernalia for Dangerous Drugs) under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
