Patrick Clancy’s heartbreaking tributes to 3 children in home with new wife as he reveals haunting dreams about daughter

PATRICK Clancy has shared how he continues to remember his three children with specific tributes he keeps in a home with his new wife. Patrick spoke to 60 Minutes on Sunday in his first interview since a judge ruled a mistrial in the Lindsay Clancy case. The children, Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan were found in the basement of their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts by Patrick, after he returned from an errand. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Defense attorney Kevin Reddington, argued that Lindsay Clancy was not criminally responsible after experiencing postpartum psychosis. A mistrial was ruled after jurors in the case were unable to reach a unanimous decision. During his extensive interview with 60 Minutes, Patrick detailed how he continues to remember his three children at his new home in New York, alongside his new wife, Dr. Rachel Danis. When asked what items he kept from his previous home in Massachusetts, Patrick said, “some of their toys. A lotta personal items. Just things that reminded me of them.” Throughout his apartment, Patrick has different tributes to his three children, including their handprints, photos of Callan, and toys Cora and Dawson often played with. Patrick also recalled a dream he had about his daughter Cora. Most read in The Sun “I remember early on having a dream, maybe six months or a year after. And I’m in the kitchen at the house, and Cora walks in,” he said. “And I just look at her and it was, like, I basically just said, “Where have you been?” And she comes up to me and gives me a big hug.” Patrick said certain dreams seem “so real,” where he feels “lucid” during them. And I went to a back room, and I started having this massive traumatic panic attack,” Patrick said. “My heart was pounding. And they put me in an ambulance. They offered me some medication, but I said, “I don’t want it, ’cause I want to go back and I want to finish this so I can be done with this.” When Patrick arrived home on January 23, 2024, he found both Cora and Dawson dead after they were strangled with exercise bands. Callan was still alive and was taken to the Boston Children’s Hospital where doctors were able to bring his heartbeat back. Patrick remembered thinking that Callan could survive saying “just gimme one. Just gimme one kid, and I would raise him as best I could, and I would give him the best life I possibly could. I’d tell him about his brother and sister.” “And then when I got to the hospital, I saw the doctor. I saw the look on her face, and I knew that it wasn’t gonna be a good prognosis.” Patrick spent the next four days with Callan in the hospital before he died. He was able to tell his son how “sorry” he was in the moments before his death. “I’m so grateful for those four days that I had with him. And I’m so grateful he hung on,” he said. “I got to hold him. I got to lay down next to him. And he died in my arms.”
