Two stray bulls entered the Mahoba District Hospital's emergency ward in Uttar Pradesh and triggered panic among patients. The viral video has raised concerns about patient safety. Two stray bulls wandered inside the emergency ward of a hospital in UP.Uttar Pradesh,Oct 22, 2026 16:42 ISTPatients at a government hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Mahoba had more than their illnesses to worry about when two stray bulls barged into the emergency ward on Wednesday evening. A video of the animals roaming among patients has surfaced on social media, raising questions about security inside the hospital. The two bulls entered the district hospital through its main entrance before making their way into the emergency ward, where patients were being treated. While attendants managed to drive one animal out, the other continued wandering inside, leaving those present scrambling to keep themselves and their relatives safe. The sight of the animals moving freely through a space meant for urgent medical care frightened patients, some of whom got off their beds as their family members tried to protect them. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Attendants eventually managed to chase the remaining bull out of the hospital. However, the episode has raised questions about how stray cattle were able to enter a critical hospital area without being stopped. Watch the video here:Brajraj Singh, who had visited the hospital to see a friend admitted there, said he was present when one of the bulls entered the emergency ward.He described the animal running around inside the ward and feared that it could attack someone. With patients already unwell, an injury caused by the bull could have made their condition worse.Singh also questioned the availability of security personnel at the government hospital, particularly at night. He said guards were supposed to be deployed at the premises but raised concerns about their absence during the incident. He called for stronger security arrangements to ensure that patients could receive treatment without fearing attacks by stray animals. The incident has brought renewed attention to complaints from local residents and patient attendants about stray cattle and dogs roaming around the hospital premises. They said the problem had become common, despite the risks it posed to patients and visitors. The viral video has further raised concerns about the hospital’s safety arrangements and the administration’s response to the presence of stray animals.Attempts to seek a response from hospital officials about the bulls entering the emergency ward did not yield a comment, as no responsible official came forward to address the incident.(With inputs from Nahid Ansari)- Ends
