Parul Gulati alleges digital witch-hunt after leak claims rock The Traitors 2

Actor-entrepreneur Parul Gulati has reacted after fellow contestants Krystle Dsouza and Shahneel Gill accused her of cheating and bribery during Karan Johar-hosted The Traitors Season 2. Shahneel, cricketer Shubman Gill’s sister, alleged that Parul paid a crew member to leak crucial information about the Traitors in the game, while Parul responded by calling the accusations a "digital witch-hunt". The makers are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.The allegations were later backed in separate videos by Krystle Dsouza, Rida Tharana and social media influencer Prish. According to the claims shared online, Parul used the leaked information to help evict Harman Singha and later accused Krystle Dsouza, both of whom were Traitors on the show.On the show, Parul had said her gut feeling told her that Harman was a Traitor and managed to convince everyone to vote him out. When she later accused Krystle, she failed to influence the table and was voted out.Soon after the videos surfaced on social media, Parul Gulati put up a post that read, “This is a circle of shaq all over and guess what, I am INNOCENT, AGAIN!” In the caption, she called the accusations a “digital witch-hunt”. What Shahneel Gill saidOn Sunday, Shahneel posted a video on Instagram claiming there had been “match-fixing” on The Traitors. She said every contestant is assigned a shadow by the production, describing the person as someone who takes care of everything for a contestant day and night. Shahneel alleged that “one innocent’s shadow was being paid to leak information from inside the game to that particular innocent, which explains a lot”. Without naming Parul directly at first, Shahneel said that one contestant seemed to wake up each morning with a gut feeling about who a Traitor was, and that the guess was correct every time.“We genuinely thought that we were witnessing some crazy sixth sense intuition, turns out the gut had a source,” she said. She added, “Imagine, the traitors are the only ones who are playing a fair game. It’s unfair for other innocents who honestly played the game and were trying to unmask the traitors; so sad.” Shahneel also said the creators, makers and backend team were not at fault and had nothing to do with it.What Krystle Dsouza saidKrystle Dsouza also posted a video criticising Parul and said, “So it turns out that a gut feeling with no valid reasons could be foul play. I am shocked, furious, and my blood is boiling.” She said it was unfair to the rest of the 20 contestants and the innocents who had applied themselves to the game, adding that the makers had created the show “with so much integrity” and kept everything secret.Krystle, who was later exposed as a Traitor by Parul on the show, said she had been puzzled by how quickly Parul had named her. “I had not even reached the breakfast table, and she had declared that I was a traitor,” she said.Krystle added that when she asked Parul for reasons, “she fumbled”, and at the Circle of Shaq, Parul’s argument “didn’t make sense” and she “had to make up points”. Krystle said she believed the makers would also be disheartened because they run the show with secrecy and integrity.Rida and Prish back the claimsRida Tharana also posted a video on Instagram, saying, “Remember who was talking about betrayal without knowing my side of the story, and who’s gone on the show and betrayed everybody.” She said she had to “collect points and shut my mouth from day one to catch a traitor”, while someone else allegedly accessed information directly and then called it a gut feeling. “No, that’s a cheater’s feeling,” she said.Prish also weighed in on the controversy and rejected claims that Shahneel and Krystle were speaking up for attention. “Everyone who is saying that Shahneel and Krystle are doing this for fame, that’s stupid. They are still in the show, while that innocent is out. How can they be insecure?” Prish said.Prish added that viewers should rewatch the show and listen to what Parul said, arguing that there were no real points behind the accusations. “I can agree that a gut feeling can be right once; you still can’t be 110 percent sure. If one knows who the traitor is, why would they worry?” Prish said.Show formatIn The Traitors, Karan Johar secretly selects a few contestants as Traitors at the start of the season, while the others are Innocents. The contestants then take part in missions to build the prize money, while the Traitors secretly “murder” players at night.
