When two police officers tried to stop him, he dodged them and ran towards the lane through which Vijay's convoy was passing.Meanwhile, his wife also jumped over the railing and tried to follow him. However, police acted swiftly and prevented the couple from reaching the Chief Minister's car. “They suddenly ran into the security perimeter of the chief minister's moving fleet but were immediately chased and detained by the police for questioning,” a police official told PTI.The commotion briefly slowed down Vijay's vehicle as police intervened and escorted the couple away. The victim, an engineering graduate from Manamadurai in Sivaganga district, allegedly died in police custody in March.
