Panic ensues on Coronation Street as Lisa closes in over shooting

The Cobbles copper led the investigate into Theo Silverton’s murder and slapped the cuffs on the culprit Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien). Unfortunately, the Platts are associated with murder as much as they are hair salons, ever since Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) tried to drive the entire family into the canal. Now the better half of Swarla is about to come knocking on the door of Number 6 Coronation Street yet again, this time for Sarah’s brother David (Jack P Shepherd). Next week’s trip to Weatherfield sees the Street rocked by a shocking shooting at the Platt household, and the girl who brought the gun to the party is Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown). Jodie’s been making eyes at David from day one and has been determined to steal him, along with Baby Harper and his daughter Lily (Grace Ashcroft Gardner) from her half-sister Shona (Julia Goulding). (Picture: ITV) To accomplish this, Jodie has span a tissue of lies and gaslit her own sister into making her look like she couldn’t cope with motherhood. This includes putting baby Harper in danger by pouring boiling water into her bath tub, and almost burning. The truth always comes out in Coronation Street, and so will Jodie’s hidden gun. She stole the firearm from Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard). After Lily found it in her aunt’s weird box of trinkets, she managed to convince everyone that the gun was a fake. However, that gun is very real, as one unlucky resident is about to learn when the feud between Shona and Jodie reaches fever pitch this Thursday. After the shooting, a devastated David calls an ambulance in a panic and explains that someone has been shot. That’s Lisa’s cue to rush to the scene as the paramedics arrive tend to the wounded. She grills David about the shooting. However the investigation into the shooting takes a turn when Lisa wants to follow up on previous statements with further questions whilst someone masks their panic. Who’s got something to hide?
