Sana was fined 10% of her match fee and handed one demerit point for the incident, which occurred during the second over of India's chase. It was her second offence within 24 months, taking her total demerit points to two.The Pakistan skipper had dismissed Shafali after the Indian batter chipped a catch back to the bowler. While celebrating the wicket, Sana gestured towards the pavilion, signalling Shafali to walk off. The gesture caught the attention of the match officials.On-field umpires Nimali Perera and Shathira Jakir Jesy, along with third umpire Rokeya Sultana and fourth umpire Rabab Ahsan, charged Sana for the breach. The Pakistan captain accepted the offence during her meeting with match referee Supriya Rani Das.Sana was found to have violated Article 2.5 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which deals with the use of language, actions or gestures that disparage a batter or could provoke an aggressive response following a dismissal in an international match. India went on to register a comfortable seven-wicket victory after their bowlers dismantled Pakistan's batting line-up for just 55 runs. N Shree Charani returned figures of 3 for 7, while Prema Rawat picked up three wickets for nine runs. Deepti Sharma claimed two for five, with Shafali also contributing with one wicket.Sana, however, was responsible for all three Indian wickets that fell during the chase.Pakistan have one win from their first two matches and will face Hong Kong in their final group-stage fixture on Monday evening.
