Oh No, Tracer Being Added To Fortnite Has Started ButtGate Again Published May 14, 2026, 2:56 PM EDT Back in 2016, Overwatch launched, and it was huge. However, some people felt that Tracer's butt wasn't huge enough, and it caused a whole scandal. Buttgate, as it came to be known, started when fans accused Blizzard of "nerfing" Tracer's behind in a character model update. This wasn't true, and eventually, this died down. Now, Tracer and other Overwatch characters have come to Fortnite, and it's kicked off another wave of Buttgate for us all to enjoy. Some players are saying that Tracer's butt is bigger in Fortnite than in Overwatch, and are repeating the claim that Blizzard made it smaller way back when. Everyone Is Talking About Tracer's Behind Again. Thanks, Fortnite Opinions are split in this new wave of buttgate. While many are immediately jumping to the conclusion that her assets have been changed for her Fortnite appearance, others argue that she's unchanged from how she looks in Overwatch right now. Yes, this is all a bit silly. However, some push back against the evidence being shared above, arguing that this is not a fair comparison because of the difference in poses in both screenshots. I think it's safe to assume that these fans will pore over plenty of other screenshots to help them reach their conclusion. In the name of credibility, of course. The original Buttgate kicked off when some complained about one of Tracer's original victory poses. The pose had her turned with her back to the camera, looking over her shoulder. In practice, this meant she was showing off her butt, and critics argued the pose was objectifying. It was replaced with a pose that has much more personality, still facing away from the camera, but now, posing with one leg raised, resembling old pin-up art. It was still sexy, just with a bit more character, but some argued that it made Tracer's butt smaller. Your browser does not support the video tag. Last month, previous Overwatch lead Jeff Kaplan actually commented on this controversy. He denied ever "nerfing" Tracer's behind, with the size staying exactly as it was. Anyway, that's enough talk about Tracer's behind for the whole year. The Overwatch x Fortnite collab kicks off today.
