Russian drones struck houses, schools, warehouses and other buildings across the Kyiv region overnight Friday-Saturday. Five injured in Kyiv as of Saturday morning Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote at 10 a.m. Saturday morning that at least five people had been injured by Russia’s overnight strikes on the capital. At 8 a.m., he wrote that a fire was detected near a warehouse in the Darnytskyi district, while a residential building in the Obolonskyi district was damaged after drone debris fell next to it, with no casualties. In the Svyatoshynskyi district, he said a drone flew into a shopping mall, and media reports suggested the French-owned Auchan supermarket at Kyiv’s Lavina Mall was hit. The mall later said it continues to operate as usual on Saturday morning in a Facebook update. In the Solomyanskyi district, Klitschko said rescuers put out the flames after an office building was struck and set ablaze, while rescue efforts were ongoing at another five-story residential building. He later said that another office building was hit in the same district and rescue efforts were underway.
