INQUIRER FILES DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan – A total of 11,915 members of jeepney operators and drivers association (JODA) from the Ilocos Region received P5,000 financial assistance on Friday from the national government through the Cash Relief Assistance (CRA) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Records of the DSWD showed that the total amount for the assistance is P60 million for the JODA members in the provinces of Pangasinan, La Union, Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur in the simultaneous payout. The DSWD Field Office 1 said the list of beneficiaries underwent a validation and verification process after it was submitted by JODA officials to their respective local government units. For Pangasinan, the distribution was held in the towns of Mabini (237 beneficiaries), Sual (372), Lingayen (2,344), Sison (577), Balungao (190), Rosales (1,488), Alaminos City (218) and Dagupan City (2,127). The total amount for the 7,643 JODA members in Pangasinan is P37,775,000.
