(Photo by Jacob Hamilton | MLive.com)Jacob Hamilton | MLive.comBy Matt Durr | mattdurr@mlive.comToyota is recalling 105,794 Land Cruiser SUVs due to a problem with the fuel tube. Documents posted by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show the recall applies to certain 2024-2027 models. The fuel tube connection near the fuel tank can disconnect and cause fuel to leak. If that happens, it increases the risk of a fire. So far, Toyota has received 64 warranty claims related to the issue, but did not indicate if any injuries or fires were connected to the problem. To correct the issue, dealers will inspect the fuel tube connection. If necessary, dealers will install a supplemental clamp or replace the resin fuel tube and install a supplemental clamp at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters are expected to be sent starting Nov. 29.
