Ottawa Senators Name Thomas Chabot 11th Captain In Franchise History

"Thomas exemplifies everything we want in an Ottawa Senator," Senators president of hockey operations and general manager Steve Staios said in a release. "He's commited to the city and to the organization. He puts the team first."Chabot was a first-round pick of the Senators, 15th overall, back in the 2015 NHL Draft, and has suited up for all 569 games of his nine-year career with the franchise. "We've always said it. Ottawa feels like home. It really does," Chabot said of his family's connection to the city. "We bought our first house here. We started our family here.
