Orlando Bloom exits Priyanka Chopra's Reset for unknown reasons ahead of filming

Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom has quit actor Priyanka Chopra's survival thriller Reset ahead of filming. Bloom was also attached to the project as an executive producer, and the reason for his exit remains unknown.Reset is written by Jordan Rawlins and centres on Chopra's character, who wakes up in the middle of the wilderness with no memory of how she got there. She is forced to trust a stranger for survival, a role Bloom was set to play, though the character may not be who he claims to be.Producers are currently searching for a replacement for Orlando Bloom, with roughly three actors under consideration to take over the role, according to TMZ. Priyanka Chopra is also expected to have an input in selecting her new co-actor. The report noted that the independent production's future now hangs in the balance, as the combined international marketability of both leads was a key factor in securing global distribution rights.Director Matt Smukler had earlier spoken about the pairing of Chopra and Bloom while discussing the film. “I was looking for a pairing where attraction and mistrust could effortlessly coexist. Speaking to Deadline earlier this year, Smukler praised the duo's seamless chemistry, noting how effortlessly both actors could convey mutual attraction and deep-seated suspicion at the same time. Meanwhile, Chopra will next be seen in director SS Rajamouli's Telugu epic Varanasi alongside actors Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is set to release during Sankranti 2027, marking her debut in a Telugu film.The upcoming action-adventure is co-written by V Vijayendra Prasad and SS Kanchi, while Rajamouli has written the screenplay. The film is co-produced by KL Narayana and SS Karthikeya.Chopra also has the second season of the Prime Video series Citadel in the pipeline.
