Organ donation helped save seven lives after crash

The family of a 20-year-old man who died in a crash on the A27 have paid tribute to his generosity after his organ donation helped save seven lives.Edward Pearce, known as Bunty, from Heathfield in East Sussex, was travelling to work when he suffered fatal injuries in a crash near Pevensey on 13 July.His family said that Pearce, a registered organ donor, donated six organs, helping seven people in urgent need of transplants."Even in passing, Edward's kindness and compassion have given others the precious gift of life, creating a legacy that will endure for generations," his family said.They described him as a much-loved son, family member and friend whose days were filled with "purpose, laughter and adventure".Pearce was training as a plumber and hoped to work in Australia, they added.
