Oregon is set to start quarterback Brock Thomas against Nebraska on Saturday night, sources tell On3. The Ducks started Dylan Raiola last week against UCLA, who struggled before being benched in favor of Thomas. Starting quarterback Dante Moore exited the USC game on Sept. 26 with a concussion and is still recovering. Moore has cleared concussion protocol and returned to the practice field. Head coach Dan Lanning said Moore was back at practice, throwing and in pads. Thomas came off the bench and finished 11 of 15 for 156 yards and a touchdown, rallying the Ducks to within two points of UCLA. Raiola was 6 of 19 in the start, throwing for only 43 yards and two interceptions. He also lost a fumble in the loss and will not get the start Saturday against his former team. Moore entered the season widely viewed as one of the top 2027 NFL draft prospects. He turned down the chance to enter the NFL draft after last season, when some projected him as a first-round pick, to return to Eugene. An exact timetable for Moore’s return is unclear. “There’s going to be some changes, some differences in the way that we operate and what we do, and there already is, the way we’ve operated this week,” Oregon head coach Dan Lanning said of Oregon’s offense earlier this week. “But as far as revealing how we’ll do that, what things will look like, I’m not going to share that with [the media].” Raiola threw for 289 yards and two touchdowns off the bench against USC when Moore was injured, but did not look comfortable in Saturday’s loss to UCLA. Oregon is currently 3-2 with losses to Oklahoma State and UCLA. Nebraska at Oregon kicks off at 11 p.m. ET on Saturday night on FOX.
