Hut 8 will retain ownership of its Canadian data centers and continue operating its graphics processing unit (GPU) and high-performance computing (HPC) business. As part of the transaction, Opti9 and Hut 8 have entered into a multi-year colocation agreement under which Opti9 will continue to operate the acquired cloud infrastructure at Hut 8’s Canadian data centers. The acquisition builds on Opti9’s 15-year history serving Canadian organizations and further strengthens its established cloud platform and presence in Canada.
