Oppo reportedly cancels Find X10 Ultra thanks to RAMageddon

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra was my favorite new phone of 2026 but, thanks to RAMageddon, the company is apparently canceling its sequel. Leaker Digital Chat Station reports on Weibo in a slightly cryptic post that, apparently, Oppo has canceled plans to release a Find X10 Ultra. The reason isn’t mentioned directly, but RAMageddon is almost certainly the reason. With skyrocketing prices, Ultra phones have been on the chopping block for a lot of Android brands, as specs like 16GB of RAM become harder to sustain at an acceptable price point. The Oppo Find X9 Ultra packed a top-tier Snapdragon chip and 16GB of RAM, where Oppo’s current Find X10 Pro Max uses a MediaTek flagship instead and 12GB of RAM in most variants, and that one is already very expensive in markets such as Europe. Find X10 Ultra was expected to offer, in part, a 200MP 1/1.12-inch main sensor with LOFIC, a 200MP periscope telephoto with 1/1.3-inch sensor, a 50MP 10x periscope telephoto, and a 100MP front-facing square sensor camera. In other words, an absolute camera powerhouse, and now it’s dead. Thanks RAMageddon and AI companies.
