Online voting to select topics for ‘Together We Advance’ Forum begins

Muscat: The Secretariat General of the Council of Ministers has invited people to vote on priority topics for the fifth edition of the “Together We Advance” Forum, scheduled to be held in Oman’s governorates in 2027.Voting is open through the forum’s website, www.togetherfwd.om, until Sunday, October 18, 2026. The initiative aims to involve citizens in identifying issues for discussion at the forum, which serves as a national platform for dialogue between the government and society on development policies and priorities in the governorates.The forum seeks to ensure that discussions reflect citizens’ concerns and the needs of local communities, while strengthening public participation in shaping development priorities.Voting is conducted based on the permanent address recorded in each citizen’s civil status record. The online platform also allows participants to suggest additional topics they consider important for discussion in their respective governorates.The fifth edition will continue the approach of involving the public in setting the forum’s agenda, giving residents an opportunity to select priority issues and highlight the aspirations of their communities. The main forum will be held in Muscat Governorate.The “Together We Advance” Forum brings decision-makers and members of the public together to discuss government initiatives and development programmes, exchange views and identify priorities for the next stage.
