One of the Engaged Couples Cut From ‘Love Is Blind: UK’ Season 3 Is Still Together—Here’s What Happened to the Other 7

As it turns out, one of the wildest things that happened on Love Is Blind: UK season 3 didn’t even make the final cut. It was recently revealed that 14 engagements went down this season, which means—of the 30 singles who participated in the experiment—only two people went home without a proposal. Six of those love stories were then followed throughout the season...but what happened to the eight engaged couples whose stories were cut? It seems we finally have an answer! On August 28, one of those mystery couples came forward on social media: 31-year-old well-being coach Sammy Harper and 32-year-old tech recruiter Jonathan Harrold. Since getting engaged nearly a year ago, the two quickly fell in love, adopted a puppy together, got pregnant, experienced a miscarriage, and are still going strong today. What a journey!Oh, and here’s Poddy the puppy:During an appearance on The Sun’s Showbiz Fix podcast, Sammy and Jonathan also revealed what happened to the seven other couples who got engaged sight unseen (but didn’t get their journeys shown onscreen). Apparently: None of them lasted.“None of them are together. I think they maybe lasted two days,” Sammy said.Jonathan added, “Out of the eight that left, obviously me and Sammy are the ones remaining, sort of within the first week,” and Sammy chimed in with, “Genuinely, hours.”“It’s a shame,” Jonathan continued, “because amongst them I saw some beautiful couples in there, but it is such a whirlwind, and I can almost understand why a couple of people have gone, ‘This is too much. This is overwhelming. Like, we’re engaged? Who are you? What is going on?’”Of their own connection, Sammy said they “just bounced off each other straight away.”And it sounds like we missed a pretty emotional proposal, too. Before popping the question, Jonathan read Sammy a note that he’d written for her father, who’d passed away before she appeared on the show.“I’m a traditional guy, and I always would have this idea of asking the father’s permission if you’re going to ask someone to marry them,” Jonathan explained, adding of the touching moment: “We were both in bits.”So happy for these two—and eager to find out which other couples lasted when the Love Is Blind: UK season 3 finale premieres on August 31.
