KSTP reported that one officer had been shot in the stomach and the other shot in the leg at the shooting near 15 East Grant Street. Hennepin County Medical Center spokesman Jonathan Comito told the Star Tribune the hospital had received six patients, one dead. FBI director Kash Patel wrote on X: “FBI is aware of the shooting in Minneapolis involving law enforcement and our personnel are responding — we will offer any and all resources necessary to assist local authorities.” The unidentified shooter is down and has been taken into custody, officials confirmed. The City of Minneapolis confirmed that the incident had multiple victims, and urged residents to avoid the area of the Shoreline Plaza apartment building.
