One dead and another injured after train strikes semi-truck in Iowa

A train has struck a semi-truck in eastern Iowa, killing one person and injuring another. The crash Wednesday at a crossing of a state highway and the Iowa Interstate Railroad is about 70 miles east of Des Moines. Poweshiek County Sheriff Matt Maschmann said one person in the truck died, while another with serious injuries was airlifted to a hospital. The crash caused train cars and engines to derail.
