Oman’s property price index rises by 22.7% in 2026 Q2

Muscat: The real estate price index in the Sultanate of Oman registered an increase of 22.7 percent during the second quarter (Q2) of 2026, compared to the same quarter of 2025.Data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) showed that the commercial real estate price index recorded an increase of 12.4 percent, driven by a rise in commercial land prices of 19.2 percent, while the prices of shops decreased by 12 percent, and the prices of industrial land decreased by 3.9 percent. Oman’s residential property price index also rose by 24.6 percent during the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter of 2025 led by the rise in residential land prices by 28 percent, residential apartments by 17.2 percent, villas by 10.8 percent, in addition to the rise in other house prices by 0.6 percent.At the governorate level, Muscat Governorate recorded the highest increase in residential land prices during the second quarter of 2026, at 40.6 percent compared to the same quarter of 2025, followed by Musandam Governorate at 29.1 percent, and then North Al Batinah Governorate at 29 percent.Residential land prices also increased in the South Al Batinah Governorate by 18.9 percent, the North Al Sharqiyah Governorate by 17.3 percent, and the Dhofar Governorate by 16.4 percent.The South Sharqiyah Governorate recorded an increase of 14.2 percent, the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate 9.8 percent, and the Al Dhahirah Governorate 6.7 percent, while the increase in the Al Buraimi Governorate was 3.1 percent. In contrast, the Al Wusta Governorate recorded a decrease in residential land prices of 16 percent during the second quarter of 2026, compared to the same quarter of 2025.
