Oman Customs thwarts major tobacco smuggling attempt at Hadaf border crossing

Muscat: Customs officers at the Hadaf border crossing successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 216.6 kilograms of tobacco derivatives into the Sultanate of Oman.According to an official statement by Oman Customs, the illicit contraband was professionally concealed in various compartments of a vehicle, including the engine bay, door panels, behind the front seats, and within trunk cavities. Legal procedures against the suspect have been initiated following the seizure.
