Old Navy’s $28 Loafer Mules Are the Chic, Blister-Free Shoes I’ll Be Wearing All Fall

Loafers have become everybody’s go-to shoe for a reason. They’re that rare shoe that somehow works with just about everything, which explains why most people have their holy grail pair—or, if you’re anything like me, a few pairs for different occasions. My only gripe? The blisters. The rubbing. The inevitable, borderline infuriating pain from the back of the shoe. So when backless, slip-on loafers started popping up in the fashion world, I was immediately sold. But because I’ve spent a good amount of money on loafers, I wanted to find a pair that gave me the same chic, elevated look I was after without the price tag. And, alas, the shopping gods were on my side, because this $27.99 pair from Old Navy was exactly what I was looking for.Old NavyOld NavyAnd with over 700 glowing reviews and practically a five-star rating, I already knew these were gonna be going straight to my cart. People can’t stop raving about how comfortable they are, how shocked they are by the price, and—of course—how expensive they make an outfit look (and the catch is, they’re not even expensive!). Someone even said they’re great for wide feet, which is a major plus!Usually, I’m a black-or-brown girl when it comes to loafers, but I fell in love with this olive style. It’s a unique neutral that gives a lighter vibe than the usual dark shades. (But they come in five other colors if you want options!) It has that traditional loafer design that fits the bill, but the slipper-like construction makes it feel like I never even took off my house slippers. This means I don’t have to switch out my painful work shoes under my desk! The biggest win!!But there was no way I was gonna settle for looking into just one pair (hello, I shop for a living!). So, of course, I had to check out these fabulous pairs I’m also considering buying—and you should, too!Megan Uy is an associate shopping editor at Cosmopolitan, where she searches for the best products in all things fashion, home, beauty, sex, gifts, and more, so you don’t have to.
