Oklahoma County sheriff sues jail trust, county commissioners over detainee transport dispute
Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson filed a lawsuit Friday against the Oklahoma County Jail Trust and the Board of County Commissioners, asking a court to rule his office is not legally required to transport jail detainees to and from the courthouse — and to order commissioners to approve his request to hire outside legal counsel to fight the case.
