TOMMY FURY’s team have issued an official statement on reports of a fight with Shannon Briggs being in the works. But the bout has well and truly been shot down by Tommy’s old man, John, who took to Instagram to say: “It’s all nonsense. “We’re not fighting Shannon Briggs. [We’ve] never even thought about fighting Shannon Briggs. Respect to Shannon Briggs for doing what he’s done in the past, but I just want to clarify in a short video that this was never of any interest to Tommy Fury or his team. “And at the end of the day, I don’t know where it’s come from. “I’m just letting you people know, short and sweet, that it was never on the menu and will never be on the menu.
