Off the news: Six-month reprieve for HMSA change

It’s certainly good that HMSA is extending the deadline for its doctors’ reimbursement switch — by six months, until Jan. 1. At the very least, that’ll give physicians, and their patients, some time to revert from the current “capitation” method (involving set fees for reimbursements), back to a previous fee-for-service system.
