Off the news: Locals-only campaign helps North Shore

The North Shore, hit hard by two brutal Kona-low storms in March, is still reeling — and recovering. The community can certainly use help, and for kamaaina consumers, that means heading out to areas like Haleiwa and Waialua — not to gawk, but to spend. In June, as part of a “Kamaaina Welcome Back” campaign, show a Hawaii ID and get 15% off on spending at participating stores, restaurants and businesses.
