Off the news: Concerns over Fort Street Mall expansion

The Honolulu City Council’s measure to expand the pedestrian-focused use of Fort Street Mall is moving, but not at full speed. Last Thursday’s Zoning Committee meeting aired concerns from some, including the Roman Catholic Church. Its testimony raised worries about the impact on its cathedral, and also identified concerns from businesses that need vehicle access for deliveries.
