‘Off Campus’ Casts Shay Rudolph as Summer Di Laurentis in Season 2

“Off Campus” has found its Summer Di Laurentis. Amazon Prime Video’s college soap has cast Shay Rudolph in the guest role for Season 2. The season will focus on the romance between Allie Hayes (Mika Abdalla) and Summer’s brother, Dean Di Laurentis (Stephen Kalyn). Rudolph’s casting was announced in a video posted to Instagram, with Rudolph and Kalyn wearing the same outfit and participating in an internet trend. Based on the bestselling books by Elle Kennedy, “Off Campus” follows an elite ice hockey team and the women in their lives as the characters navigate love, heartbreak and the transition to adulthood. The show is a massive hit for Amazon, with Season 1 skating to the No. 3 most-viewed debut season in the streamer’s history (behind “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” and “Fallout”), and reaching 36 million viewers in its first 12 days. Popular on Variety Season 2 also stars Ella Bright, Belmont Cameli, Antonio Cipriano, Jalen Thomas Brooks, India Fowler and Phillipa Soo. Creator Louisa Levy co-showruns and executive produces “Off Campus” with Gina Fattore. Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen and James Seidman executive produce for Temple Hill. Leanna Billings of Billings Productions and Neal Flaherty also serve as executive producers. Rudolph started her career as a musical theater actor in San Diego before landing a recurring guest star role on Fox’s “Lethal Weapon.” She went on to star in Netflix’s “The Baby-Sitters Club” reboot and was set to lead the Disney+ reboot of “Holes,” which ultimately did not move forward.
