There's never a dull moment when it comes to Magic: The Gathering's Secret Lair, and just as the hype from the Hatsune Miku Commander deck was dying down, we have leaks on a whole new deck that looks set to release before the end of the year. The Odds and Ends deck features artwork from Ricardo Cavolo and is centered around Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, a card that works best when the vast majority of the cards in your deck have an odd mana value. The full deck list is available even though we don't have a solid release date yet, so let's look at how the deck is structured and how valuable it looks from a reprint perspective. @SadPoor on X The Odds and Ends deck has landed in the hands of players who actually ordered the Hatsune Miku Commander deck instead. This is an all too common occurrence with Secret Lair products, with numerous drops and decks being spoiled this way. While the deck list below is accurate and based on these misdelivered decks, I have to point out that some cards may still change between this and the final product. Deck Strategy The Odds and Ends deck lives and dies around its Commander's ability to cast free spells from the top of the library. While the mana curve is still relatively in line with where a typical deck should be, there are some huge spells in this deck that you'll want to manipulate into the top spot before then attacking with your Commander to unleash its ability. You'll get to reveal the top card of your library, and if the casting cost is odd, and even if it's not, you still draw the card into your hand. The downside to this ability being so powerful is that Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign costs five mana to cast, and if you can't keep it on the battlefield, Commander tax will see this spiral out of control very quickly. Value At first look, the Odds and Ends deck has some phenomenal value, mainly coming from a reprint of Esper Sentinel, a $60+ card in some of its other variants. The key to this deck's overall value, however, will be its MSRP. The other two Secret Lair decks this year have sold for $149.99, and if Odds and Ends is the same, that will be unbelievable. I would expect it to launch for at least $199.99, though, at which point the value is still good, but it's dented a little compared to the other decks we've seen this year. I cannot say for sure that the Odds and Ends Secret Lair Commander deck will be released in 2026, but given that the product was seemingly ready to be sent out in place of other decks, there's a very strong likelihood that it releases this year. Realistically, there are only two reasons why it wouldn't release this year. One is that further changes are made to the deck that require it to go back through the printing process, and the other is that Wizards of the Coast just withholds it, as there have already been two decks this year, and it wants to spread out the products so as not to oversaturate the market. After all, we're already going to be finishing the year on over 30 Commander precon decks (including Collector's Edition versions).
