The Latest Frequently Asked Questions Prime Big Deal Days is a 48-hour fall sale that Amazon has run since 2022. The sales event takes place in early October, about a month and a half before Black Friday. It's often referred to as "October Prime Day" because its deals are exclusively for Amazon Prime members, just like the retailer's flagship Prime Day sale. Prime Big Deal Days 2026 will officially begin at 3:01 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 6. It will end at 2:59 a.m ET on Wednesday, Oct. 8. The 48-hour sale will include thousands of discounts on products from Amazon, Anker, Apple, Bose, Dyson, Garmin, Lego, Nintendo, Samsung, Sony, and tons more brands. The answer to this question will vary by product and category, but in general, Black Friday is when you'll see the lowest prices of the year. That being said, we expect to see many of the same discounts during both of these shopping events. In addition, given the number of price hikes and product shortages we've seen so far in 2026, we recommend doing your holiday shopping early this year. Mashable shopping experts have been covering shopping events like Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday for almost a decade, and we usually know what type of deals to expect. The top Prime Day deals are usually on Amazon's own products, with discounts between 30% to 60% on Echo speakers, Kindle e-readers, Blink and Ring security cameras, Eero routers, and Fire TV products. Deals on Apple products are also extremely popular during Prime Day, and in the past, we've seen AirPods on sale for as little as $79, great deals on Apple Watches, plus discounts of $200 to $600 on MacBook laptops and iPads.
