Although we’ve certainly seen a lot of what the Ocarina of Time remake has to offer over the past few months thanks to the stacked Direct reveal, recent previews, and a lengthy overview trailer, there’s still plenty that’s being saved for the final game. Adult Link’s side of the game in particular is one that Nintendo has been a little cagier about showing. That’s just changed a little thanks to a new advert that’s just been released by Nintendo. The brief trailer focuses on some of the enemies that Link will find himself going up against, including a very quick look at the remade version of one of the most iconic enemies from the original game - Dark Link. Dark Link Is Even More Of A Menace In Ocarina Of Time’s Remake He’s Giving Big Piccolo Energy As pointed out by Nintendo Life, a new advert for the Ocarina of Time remake was shared on Nintendo’s Japanese YouTube channel. At just 30 seconds, it’s incredibly fast-paced, but there’s one scene in particular that stands out from the rest, as we get to see Link going up against Dark Link and being trolled as he stands on his sword. Even though the doppelganger is only in the trailer for just over a second, we get a pretty good look at the more menacing vibes he has in the remake. While Dark Link standing on Link’s sword isn’t a new thing by any means, it’s been given a lot more personality thanks to an aura farming pose that’s gone viral. In the original game, Dark Link kept his duelling stance while on Link’s sword. The new pose is a little detail, but it’s very charming. The remake even makes Link’s body react to the weight of Dark Link on his sword, which is honestly pretty impressive. The rest of the trailer is also great and shows how much the Ocarina of Time remake is improving things, but I have to admit this small slice of the Dark Link battle has made me more excited than ever.
