Sign in to your TheGamer account It’s The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake release day. It’s really here, and I imagine a fair few of you have already put a decent number of hours into the game. If the game alone is not enough and you want to celebrate your love for it even more, there are a couple of things you can spend your Platinum Points on through My Nintendo Rewards. Zelda Goodies At My Nintendo Rewards Nintendo My Nintendo is a program where people can exchange their Platinum Points for either virtual or real-life tangible items. You earn Platinum Points by completing missions, most of which really don’t require much more than you actually using your Switch or Switch 2 and playing certain games. Even if you have never heard of them, unless you’re brand new to Nintendo, you probably have a bunch of points sitting there, waiting to be spent. If that’s the case, then I have some Ocarina pins that you might be interested in. The top item on the My Nintendo rewards site right now, which likely means they’re popular and may sell out soon. The set includes a pin featuring the Ocarina of Time remake’s logo, and another depicting the Zelda 40th anniversary logo with the little 8-bit Link on it. The set of pins will cost you 800 points, and it’s been a while since I used my points to buy something that needed to be sent through the mail, but I believe you will have to use a little bit of real money to pay for postage. Zelda's Gold Cartridge Legacy Continues, Kind Of Nintendo If you don’t want the pins, or you have more than 800 points burning a hole in your virtual wallet, then there’s also a metal display up for grabs that’s modeled after the design for the original The Legend of Zelda’s NES cartridge. Not the Ocarina of Time’s gold N64 cartridge, unfortunately, but still a neat keepsake for Zelda fans that will cost you 1,000 Platinum Points. There’s also a similar metal display for the original Metroid. Unfortunately, the displays for the first three Mario games have all sold out. If you’re finding this article after everything has already sold out, there are still new Ocarina freebies you can spend your Platinum Points on. Icons that can be used to spruce up your profile. Icons are the little circles that are attached to your Nintendo profile, and the first wave of Ocarina of Time customization options are now available. New options will be added each week for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, if you were hoping to bag one of the many Ocarina pre-order bonuses, now that the game is here, that window of opportunity has closed. You can still claim the early purchase wallpaper bonus until November 23, although adding that instead of making the N64 slip covers and other pre-order bonuses only seemed to make people more upset that those items were so limited.
