OBS Studio 33.0 is out tonight as the latest major update to this popular open-source and cross-platform video recording and live streaming application. OBS Studio 33.0 brings a "massive update" for the Chromium Embedded Framework used by this recording/streaming app. It's over two years worth of changes in jumping from CEF 127 to CEF 150. OBS Studio 33.0 also ships overhauled plug-in loading code that restructures first/third-party plug-ins and makes other improvements. Some of the other changes in this version include improving how source snapping works in the video preview mode, improving the behavior of spinboxes for number values, and enables NVIDIA NVENC video encoding support on ARM64 platforms with NVIDIA GPUs. OBS Studio 33.0 also has support for the newest NVIDIA Broadcast SDKs, improved detection of full-screen games in the Game Capture mode, retired support for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, and various other updates.
