AFTER the whole hullabaloo around Ticketmaster’s hideous dynamic pricing for the Oasis reunion tour, I have good news for fans ahead of the Knebworth shows next year. The band’s former publicist Johnny Hopkins believes tickets will cost a lot less when Noel and Liam Gallagher announce the 2027 concerts next year. Speaking alongside Oasis photographer Jill Furmanovsky, Johnny also revealed the chaos of the band’s first shows at Knebworth in 1996. He said: “The guest list was 7,000. But that didn’t include the band’s guest list, Sony’s guest list, all the support bands’ guest lists or the promoters’ guest list. “It was insane. “It was a vast tent. All kinds of debauchery went on in there.” Talking about juggling VIP guest lists for the band over the years, Johnny explained he had to ward off several bust-ups. He added: “The Nynex Arena in Manchester . . . you had several fights on your hands. “In one row there was Man City, the whole squad. Next row behind was Man United. Most read in Showbiz “And if that’s not complicated enough, behind them was Liverpool. I don’t think there was anyone there from Everton because that would have also made it more fractious. “Then, in a similar area of the arena, you have the cast of Corrie and the cast of Brookside.” Last night brought a fresh hint relating to my exclusive story about Oasis preparing to announce the Knebworth shows this month. Promoters SJM Concerts have now secured the necessary licence from North Hertfordshire Council to put on events for up to 125,000 people. The licence is in place and effective from now. I’m looking forward to bringing the same energy to Formula E.” POTTER SCHOOL GROWS HBO bosses have been given the go-ahead to expand their pop-up school where the big-budget Harry Potter TV series is being filmed. To stop overcrowding in classrooms, members of Three Rivers District Council have signed off larger rooms and more space for classes, which are packed with young extras on filming days. The school, in Leavesden, Hertfordshire, accommodates 150 kids but can rise to 600 pupils on “crowd scene days”. The application states: “Now that the school is fully operational, it has become clear additional space is required to accommodate the many activities that take place within the building.” Magic. Phoebe, who dated Normal People actor Paul for two and a half years until late 2022, has written a song called The Governor’s Waltz. It has been interpreted as a dig at Gracie, who has been with Paul since 2024. The track includes: “She can pretend to be me. Since she took my place in my bed, on that stage.” That last part is believed to be a reference to the fact Gracie has played many of the same venues and festivals that Phoebe played when she was dating Paul. The album, Lost Weekend, will be out next Friday and I’m sure fans will be keeping an ear out for more references to her ex and his new partner. Phoebe previously appeared to badmouth him on her SZA collaboration Ghost In The Machine in 2022, when she sang about an argument at the Ludlow Hotel in New York, and blurted out: “You’re an asshole.” Paul had better batten down the hatches when this new record drops.
