Nouveau Lands Display Fixes For NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs As It Works Toward HDMI 2.1

This week's Direct Rendering Manager (DRM) fixes that were merged ahead of Sunday's Linux 7.3-rc2 release contain a number of fixes to the open-source Nouveau driver's display support for current-generation NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. There are a number of display-related fixes merged for the Nouveau kernel driver for better interactions with the GPU System Processor (GSP), fixing HDMI vendor infoframes for GB20x hardware, fixing HDMI GCP AVMute register offsets, fixing vblank interrupts on Blackwell GPUs, and other fixes. Nouveau developer Mohamed Ahmed mentioned in the patch series of these Nouveau Blackwell display fixes that they largely came about while working toward Nouveau's HDMI 2.1 support: "Several fixes for GSP-driven displays consisting of four independent groups. These were created as part of ongoing HDMI 2.1 bring up and display handling clean-up work, so some of them are not issues now (e.g., the 2.147GHz pixel clock cap) but fixing them is required to get advanced features such as FRL, DSC, VRR, etc working properly." These fixes were merged overnight as part of the DRM fixes for Linux 7.3-rc2. There are also a number of AMDGPU and Intel driver fixes too, among fixes to the smaller DRM drivers as well.
