Nostalgic TV channel that shows Christmas movies 24/7 returns to screens today – before autumn even begins

A NOSTALGIC Christmas channel has returned to Freeview today, despite four months still remaining until December 25. From now until January, the channel will show back-to-back festive films at any time of day. Great! TV has revived its much-loved dedicated Christmas channel today, with hundreds of festive films scheduled to air 24/7. Launching this morning at 8am with the film Reunited at Christmas, the Great! Despite Christmas Day still being 121 days away, and autumn not even beginning, the channel has already shown four films on Freeview today. Marketing director at Great! TV, Kate Gartland, said: “Great Christmas is back – and it’s earlier than ever. “This year’s programming is jam-packed with even more movies to help build the excitement for the big day. “While we may be festive fanatics at Great, believe me, there is method in the madness – last year’s Christmas programming attracted more viewers than ever before so we’re starting the festivities even earlier for 2026.” 186 Christmas films are set to air throughout the festive period on the TV channel, including 42 premieres making their debut. Great! Christmas became a fan-favourite channel last winter, with 14.5million minutes watched by viewers between September and January. Most read in TV Those eager to indulge in the Christmas spirit, even in August, can access Great! Christmas on Freeview channel number 52. On satellite, viewers can watch the channel on number 322, and access Great! Xmas +1 on number 323. Sky customers can also enjoy Great!
