Nostalgic affordable wine from the 70s makes HUGE UK comeback just in time for Christmas

A NOSTALGIC wine is making a huge UK comeback just in time for Christmas. The affordable wine is returning to British shelves with a brandnew look. The German wine has now relaunched with Blue Nun Authentic White and Blue Nun Riesling, with the first bottles available through Ocado and Drink Supermarket. Sign up for the Money newsletter Thank you! Both 750ml bottles are priced at £8.49, while more retailers are expected to stock the range as distribution expands. The brand’s iconic blue bottle is staying, but the branding has been given a modern makeover. The revamp comes as drinking habits shift towards fruitier, more approachable wines and lower-alcohol options. Blue Nun Authentic White has an ABV of 10% and features apple, peach and citrus aromas. Meanwhile, Blue Nun Authentic Riesling has an even lower 9% ABV. The wine is made using grapes grown in Germany‘s Rheinhessen region and has a fruit-forward style with tropical flavours, lively acidity and subtle sweetness. It is available in 64 countries and is claimed to be the bestselling German wine brand of all time.
